    Holocaust Museum Honors Catholic Friar

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum opened a new exhibit on April 16 honoring a Roman Catholic monk who tried to rescue six Jews from the Nazis. Father Jacques de Jesus, a French Carmelite friar, was arrested for attempting to hide two men and four boys, and was sent to the Mauthausen death camp. He died of tuberculosis in 1945 at the age of 45.
