The focus of the stories is on friendship or heterosexual love. Some
of the stories may contain references to male/male attraction in the subplot.
The stories are set in prisons. Because of this, the stories sometimes
address the topics of abuse, including child abuse.
Violence in the stories (which can be severe) is primarily nongraphic
or offstage, but some graphic violence occurs. Any sexual activities are
offstage.
